Altra Federal Credit Union will hold its second annual Altra Gives Back Day on Monday, Oct. 14. All Altra offices and member contact centers will be closed as employees participate in a variety of community volunteer activities.
“Altra strives to make the communities we serve better places to live and one way we achieve that is through employee volunteerism,” said Steve Koenen, Altra President and Chief Executive Officer. “Altra Gives Back Day is a way we can join together as a team and make a difference.”
Altra employees volunteer thousands of hours each year in their member communities nationwide. By setting aside one day to dedicate to service, all employees will be able to participate. The day was chosen because it is a federal holiday that financial institutions are regularly closed.
“We are excited to hold our second annual Altra Gives Back Day in our member communities nationwide,” said Shawn Hauser, Altra Community Relations Manager. “Helping the organizations in the markets we serve strengthens our communities and inspires our employees to give back.”
Over 300 local employees and over 100 employees nationwide will volunteer at more than 30 organizations including food banks, animal shelters, outdoor trails, youth centers, nursing homes and more.
