CLARKSVILLE – Mayor Joe Pitts, fire Chief Freddie Montgomery and Clarksville Fire Rescue will hold Clarksville’s annual ceremony to honor fallen firefighters and the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The remembrance will be Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. at Clarksville’s Fire Station No. 1 at 802 Main St. It will include placement of a memorial wreath, bell ringing, guest speakers and a presentation of flowers to families of fallen firefighters.
All fire service, law enforcement and emergency services personnel, the Clarksville City Council, city department heads, Montgomery County elected leaders and Clarksville-Montgomery County citizens are invited to attend.
