The Clarksville High School Veterans Day celebration was held Nov. 8 in an assembly at the William Workman Gymnasium on the school’s campus. The JROTC cadets were helped by other students to unfold a nearly court-size United States flag. CHERI REEVES
The veteran tribute’s keynote speaker was U.S. Marines Staff Sgt. Eamonn Donahue, a 2003 Clarksville High School graduate, who now serves with Chemical Biological Incident Response Force at the Naval support facility Indian Head, Maryland. CHERI REEVES

Clarksville High School principal Bryan Feldman thanked the veterans who continue to give to their country through the education and support of the Wildcat students. Spanish teacher Eric Ortiz, who served in the U.S. Army for 28 years and retired as a sergeant major, is on the left.
