COVID-19 cases still rising




On Tuesday, May 26, the state of Tennessee had reported 20,965 confirmed cases of COVID-19 cases, with 343 fatalities. There were 13,344 people who had recovered from the disease.

Montgomery County health officials have reported 251 confirmed cases and three deaths.

The five Tennessee counties with the most confirmed cases and/or deaths include Davidson, Shelby, Trousdale, Rutherford and Sumner counties.

  • Davidson County, with the highest number of cases reported in the state, has 4,716 cases and 60 deaths.
  • Shelby County has 4,516 confirmed cases and 96 deaths.
  • Trousdale County reports 1,392 cases with four deaths.
  • Rutherford County reports 1,063 confirmed cases and 22 deaths.
  • There have been 838 cases confirmed in Sumner County, with 45 deaths.
