Two men were killed in a wreck early Oct. 9 when the car they were in collided with a commercial tanker truck on 101st Airborne Division Parkway in Clarksville.

The wreck happened at about 2:18 a.m. at the intersection of Peachers Mill Road. Clarksville police said Rahim Perry, 28, drove a Chrysler 300, and Breshaun Fortson, 21, was a passenger in the car. The car was headed south on Peachers Mill Road went through a red light at the intersection and collided with a commercial tanker truck headed west on 101st Airborne Division Parkway.

Police said Perry and Fortson died as a result of their injuries. 

The intersection was closed for several hours and impacted morning traffic until officers reopened it at about 8 a.m.
