Gridiron Scouting, a Tennessee-based high school football talent scouting platform, has begun announcing the top athletes at various positions throughout the state.
Recently, they named the top 130 offensive linemen and 67 running backs in Tennessee with six Montgomery County athletes being among the players mentioned.
West Creek led the way with a pair of representatives in running back Jameel Mann (No. 55) and offensive guard D’Andrew Todd (No. 81). Mann figures to take over as one of the Coyotes' top playmakers following the departure of senior Yasir Thomas to APSU. Todd will be tasked with paving the way for Mann along with protecting reigning All-County First Team quarterback TiAnthony Wagner.
The highest ranked player was offensive guard/tackle Nick Edwards from Clarksville (No. 20). One of the biggest players on the list, he’ll take over after fellow giants Jason Eaton and Blake Hundley graduated to Division I programs. Edwards helped anchor the top line in the county in 2019.
Rossview’s Camron Everett also checked into the linemen top 30 at No. 27. Montgomery Central’s Tucker Mixon followed them up at No. 58.
The highest rated running back in the county is Kenwood’s Tishun Miles. The senior will work in tandem with junior quarterback Jaylen Washington to help fill the voids left by the departures of Trelon Gadson and Kavarius Moody.
