A new $58 million satellite hospital of Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville is in the early stages of planning.
Tennova is taking steps to expand services to a Trenton Road facility, near the intersection of the 101st Airborne Division Parkway, across from the Publix grocery store now under construction.
The new facility would offer 12 inpatient beds and provide acute inpatient medical and surgical services, according to hospital officials.
It would be equipped with an emergency department with 14 diagnosis and treatment bays.
Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville is filing an application for a Certificate of Need with the State of Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency for the project, according to Sandra Wooten, Tennova’s marketing director.
“Tennova Healthcare – Clarksville has served more than 272,000 people in 2020 and we see firsthand the need for additional local medical resources,” Wooten said.
The new facility would provide the community with around the clock care every day of the year, according to Wooten.
“Our plans are designed to serve the healthcare needs of residents and complement the services we provide in our Dunlop Lane facility, Tennova ER-Sango and Tennova Medical Group clinics for primary care, cardiology, orthopedics, surgery and other specialties,” Wooten said.
The anticipated date of filing the application for the planned satellite hospital is October 1.
